Georgia was one of our very first Brides on Collins brides. She hasd quite a story to tell so we might let her tell it in her own words –
“Dear Wendy, Kelly, Jacqui and the beautiful team at Brides on Collins,
Our wedding was held on the 20th September 2012 and it was without a doubt- PERFECT! The theme was pure romance and with a dress from the incredibly talented designer Wendy Makin, it was all this and much much more!!
Often when you are a little girl you have ideas of what you want your wedding to be, but for me this was not the case. In fact, I’d pretty much given up on the romance and true love notion until I met my now wonderful husband. When I first stepped into another store that carried your collection, I had very little idea of what I would want to wear. The first dress had my mum shed a few tears but only because it was the first moment she had seen me in any kind of wedding dress. The second dress, ewww! The third dress my maid of honor chose as she couldn’t take her eyes off it!! It was definitely not the type of dress I thought I would like, but as the lady zipped it up and I caught the first glimpse in the mirror, I had the ‘bridal moment’ and began crying. I knew I had found it and the buckets of tears my mum, my maid of honor and the saleslady shed confirmed this.
My first call from Wendy Makin came when the other boutique went into liquidation. She rang to assure me that my dress and veil were safe, she had picked them up and that I would be dealing directly with her from now on. Pure relief doesn’t begin to explain how I felt! From that moment on, every email, every phone call and most importantly every fitting I had at Brides on Collins was undertaken with the highest professionalism, wonderful customer service and absolute dedication to ensure that the dress fit perfectly.
I wore the magnificent ‘Kate’ and without a doubt I felt like a princess. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Wendy and all the team for your part in helping to make our day a modern fairy tale.
