Here at Wendy Makin we love a good party. We love flowers, we love fashion and we love food!! As no great party was ever had without great food, we’ve scoured the internet for the best bridal shower food ideas just for our brideys.
Idea number 1: Flowers! Flowers have been popular in food decorating recently and we can see why; they look amazing! They add colour and, assuming you’re buying the right ones, are completely OK to eat. Flowers are a huge wedding tradition, so why not incorporate them into the food?
Idea number 2: Cut things into heart shapes! It’s so easy to do and makes it look like you’ve put a lot of effort in (but all you’ve really done is squished things through a heart shaped cookie cutter). It does look fab and makes plain foods like cheese a lot more interesting!
Idea number 3: Mocktails and cocktails! No bridal shower is complete without some variety of fancy drink in a tall glass. Whether it is a fresh and fruity alcoholic spritz or an iced-tea mocktail, you’re sure to impress your guests with these refreshing concoctions.
Peach Melba Cooler, Plum and Thyme Prosecco Smash, The long island tea’s prettier little sister, Blackberry and Sage Flavoured Water, Cotton Candy Champagne Cocktail, Blushing Dragon, Rose Water Cointreau Fix, Strawberry Tea Punch, Lavender Bee’s Knees Cocktail
Idea number 4: The cake! Last but not least is the bridal shower cake. Cakes are always appreciated. Even if everyone’s stuffed themselves silly, they can always make room for cake. These cake’s aren’t hard to make, they look amazing, and they won’t blow your budget (that’s for the wedding cake!).
Blueberry Strawberry Banana Ice-cream Cake, Chocolate Glazed Banana Bundt Cake, Easy Chocolate Cake, Hummingbird Cake, Coconut Eton Mess Cake with Whipped Ricotta Cream, Easy Ricotta Cake with Fresh Berries, Flourless Orange and Almond Cake, To Die For Carrot Cake, Italian Fresh Cream Lemon Cake
So there you go! We hope you’ve been inspired. Let us know by leaving a comment or tag us on Instagram with pics of your awesome bridal shower! @wendymakinbridal
